Dense, flat, and heavy enough to stay put under a full-size treadmill.
At 0.11 inch, the MotionTex is the thinnest mat in this group, and that is the point of it. It's dense recycled PVC rather than foam, so it behaves less like a cushion and more like a floor you happen to be able to roll up. The treadmill sits on it the way it sits on hardwood: level, no rocking from corner to corner, no sinking under the frame.
The 84-by-36-inch sheet runs the length of a full-size deck with margin at both ends, which matters more than it sounds. Every foot and stabilizer has to land on the mat, because a frame with one corner hanging off walks and dents whatever is underneath. The rounded corners are the detail we ended up appreciating most — square corners on a mat this size curl, catch the vacuum, and find a bare foot in the dark.
Under the heaviest machine we have, this one hasn't crept and the edges haven't lifted. At 15.7 pounds it's heavy enough to stay put without tape or adhesive, and heavy enough that you slide it into position rather than lifting it — do that, and it goes exactly where you want it. A damp cloth or a vacuum is the entire maintenance routine.
Bottom Line
The mat we point to first for a full-size treadmill: dense, flat, and heavy enough to stay put, with no padding to let the frame rock.
