RDX Figure 8 Lifting Straps
- Material Cotton webbing
- Construction Three-layer cross-stitched center
- Size Options Three, Small fits 6.5 in wrist
Three sizes, grippy cotton webbing, and the most consistent grip of the group.
Figure-8 straps are sized by the loop, not by the hand, so the number that matters is your wrist circumference. RDX builds this pair from a small cut for a 6.5-inch wrist and steps up through two larger sizes, and the cotton webbing is woven in a basket pattern that leaves a slightly rough, grippy surface rather than the slick finish you get from nylon.
That texture is why this is the pair we recommend first. Set up over a knurled bar and the strap bites in instead of skating across the top, and the three-layer cross-stitching through the crossover keeps the middle of the eight flat instead of letting it bunch under load. Getting out between sets is quick too: hand out, strap drops, chalk, go again. For straight-bar deadlifts, RDLs, shrugs, and rows, there's nothing here working against the lift.
Comfort is the quiet win. Cotton webbing softens against the wrist after a few sessions, and once the straps had a little chalk worked into them we stopped thinking about them entirely, which is the highest compliment a piece of gym kit gets. Price sits in the middle of this group, well under the Gymreapers and Grip Power Pads pairs, so the size choice and the construction don't arrive with a premium attached.
Bottom Line
Our pick for most lifters: three sizes, grippy cotton that holds a knurled bar, and a price that sits below the premium pairs.
